No new post of the 365 project yet. I promise I will post some of them soon again. I am still drawing one-character-a-day, but it takes time to scan them all and make them look nice and clean. I will scan and post them when I have time, and spend more time actually drawing them. :)

365 - Försupen Characters part 1

January 09 - January 15 was a Försupen week. Because I wanted new art for the cast-page on the Försupen homepage. :) Some of these didn't turn out too well. I will probably redo Lorentz completely and Tova's leg is a bit messed up. but the other one's I will use, I think!
My favourite ones this round is Fozt and Rosita!

Next week I will post my week of the Moomins! :)

Edmund! I kind of like how he turned out too.

Denilou! I think I am finally getting the hang of his
body shape, though I need to exagerate it a bit more.
Thin legs, a bit thicker muscular arms and belly sticking
slight out compared to chest (at least more compared to
the other taller characters).

365 - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

For everyone's information, these drawings are
based on the new TMNT series (at least the first seasons of it!).
That would explain the designs of Casey Jones and April O'neil.

Michaelangelo yay! I think he is my least favourite turtle...
but the story wouldn't be the same without him of course!

Donatello is my second favourite turtle! Whoops, I
did a mistake on inking his buttocks. Gotta fix that in photoshop...

Raphael is my favourite turtle because he is always angry. Haha!

365 - T.W.S.A.M.C.T.L.

This week (december 26 - january 01) was a week of The Way Sun and Moon Came to Life - an old story project of mine that I started writing when I was 11-12 I think. I loved writing and drawing to that story, and I always thought it would be my first big comic project too. But I ended up starting with Försupen instead since it is not as big.

It was around 2005 I realized the project was way too big and unorganized to take on as a comic project right away (way too many side stories etc), so I decided to revive an old one instead: Försupen. I hope one day to take on The Way Sun and Moon Camt to Life again - but with more experienced eyes to make it a much more interesting and solid story. :)

Zol is the spirit / god of light. He created the
world together with his other half: Mooniez...

Mooniez is the spirit / god of darkness. He created the
world together with Zol. However, he got to competative
and ended up putting darkness and grief into the
world - as Zol put light and hope to the world.

Ihodaddh is one of the Axtruemish
people (Zol's own people). He is a wind wisperer, and
knows how to use the wind to his own benefits.
He is very troubled as a lot of people seem to look
down on him, as he has the body of a younger boy.
Most axtruems don't get sent to the real world
until they are fully grown, which Ihodadh is not.

Saiywer is also an Axtruem, and also a wind whisperer.
A more experienced one than Ihodaddh as he
has been in the real world longer. He is mute,
and thus talks with a voice borrowed from a
friend in the spirit world.

Lindenn is really old and really goofy. He once got involved with
normal humans way too much, which has made a lot of
Axtruemish people lose respect for him. He is a pretty lost
soul, even though his loud behaviour show different.
He collects human items and his favourite one is his bike.

Joiishawa is the only healer in the village, and
is a tree axtruem. Tree axtruem's are very valuable
in combat, as they are fast and tactical. He carries
red feathers to alarm that he is a healer.

Kalene (real name Joiishawa) is an identical copy
of Joiishawa. When Zol spent time creating a healer he
decided to create two identical ones at the time of one
creation, since he knew the village was in great need
of them. However, the King of the village got the idea
wrong, and decided to lock Kalene in for 15 years until
he would be needed (ie the first Joiishawa would fall
in battle or would need extra help). This has made
Kalene into a very hating and frustrated individual,
since everyone thinks he is useless trash instead
of something valuable.

365 - Female Video Game Characters

Sorry for not posting these yet, but it's so annoying to scan from that little book! I will probably post the rest the next few days, so stay tuned! :)

Every 4:th week I start drawing myself in my "current state/look/smör". This was in the end of december! December was a month I spent a lot of time at work! Fun times - lots of coffee!

Here's the week's actual team: Female Video Game Characters! (mostly the ones that meant a lot to me. Since I have a hard time to like female video game characters!)

Aerith / Aeris Gainsborough from Final Fantasy VII was one of my first "favorite character" obsessions (well, after Edgar Roni Figaro). My first mail address was aeris4@hotmail.com (back in 1997) and I had a pink ribbon on my Boston Bruins cap (yeah, the NHL team XD).

Luca from Chrono Trigger is just simply an awesome female character!

I haven't finished Wind Waker, but I have played / seen enough to like Tetra!

Celes Chere from Final Fantasy VI! A strong female character. I like her design in the Amano drawings more than the green swimming suit pixel one, but I understand why they had to design her that way in game.

Peach from the Mario series. She is a typical Damsel in Distress character type, but I grew up with the Mario games and it's hard to not like her! :D

Agrias from Final Fantasy Tactics!

Cammy from Street Fighter. Well, I loved her when I was a little kiddo because she had such fantastic hair and I wanted to get my hair like that one day. But these days I have a hard time liking her, actually. XD Mainly because I suck at the game...

MilMo - Fun is just a click away

We finally released the closed beta of MilMo on the 21:st of December. I have been really slow on announcing it. If you want a key for the closed beta, make sure to sign up on our homepage. :)

So, what's different about MilMo compared to other
Free-to-Play games that you see everywhere these days?

It's a browser game in full 3D - which means you can play it directly in your web browser!
No heavy .exe-downloads, you can play it right away!
It's action adventure-centered: retro adventure game glory!
And personally, I love the character customization. Advanced system indeed!
Oh, and the game is animated by yours truly. Like it or not. :) I also did various of other stuff of course...!

365 - Three Heroes One Remains

T.H.O.R was an online comic that I wrote and started drawing back in 2000. It was never finished (duh) because of the script being lousy and the story not being very well planned and not interesting enough. However: I found the characters interesting and was close on picking it up to finalize it back in 2005, but ended up working on När Drömmar Dör instead. I am happy I did!

T.H.O.R was about four guys who were related to each other through noble blood. They were chosen by their country's King Intso Dume (Swedes gotta love the pun in that name!) and blessed by the elemental Gods to travel across space to destroy a monster on a distant planet. One of the heroes gets shot during their "farewell"-ceremony: which is why the story is called Three Heroes One Remains.

That pretty much sums it all up... Pretty corny, huh?
But it sure as hell was exciting when I wrote it (in the age of 13?)!
The story was actually based on an other story
I wrote when I was 11... and that story was
called the Legend of Saverus.

(I loved writing when I was a kid. Still do!)

Finally! Wow, this week has been

really busy. I haven't been sleeping enough, I am really
surprised some of these came out okay.

I try to get at least 15 minutes off
every day to do these drawings. Which I am
enjoying a lot, despite the lack of sleep. :)

365 - a tribute to my friends and idols! part 1

This week I decided to draw characters
of my dear friends, colleagues and idols! This
is part1 of more to come in the future!
But next week I will draw robots.

Monni's character Monsieur of Desert Rose!
My nickname for him is Mossan. I love Monni's
character design. Mossan is one of my favorites
among her characters!

Jenny's character Araña of Åtta Ben Från Underjorden!
I love Jenny's art style and her characters are all very well made!
Gotta love Araña's strong, skinny, silhouette with all that hair!

Petter Thomée's character Fang of Dino Man Fang!
The design speaks for itself. It's full of awesome! :) A
bit difficult for me to draw though.

Aggi's character Nina! Nina is such a
gracious and beautiful character. Her personality
is really strong as well! Take a look at Aggi's art!

Emelie & Mattias' character Dores of What Birds Know!
Wow, I just love Emelie's and Mattias' characters.
Dores must be my favourite. Love her attitude.
I love character designs with unique shapes and traits!
This drawing does not make Dores justice though.
You gotta check her out in their comic!

Lisa Medin's character "Zip!", "ZACK!" or perhaps "Steve!" of Medley!
(I thought that part of the comic was hillarious!) I think the part I fell
for in his design is his hair and nose! Yummy and flow:y!
+ He and Aggi's Grand would be a hot perfect match!
And Rosita can be part of the match as well! xD

Mikaela is such a cute character, I always
adored her style of clothes. I finally got to do
Stef's character justice! I drew her characters
way back - and it was really rushed.

Quick Cyborg 009 doodle!

Today is 2009 09 09 - cyborg 009 day! Me and a lot of my swedish friends celebrated the day by watching and listening to the hilarious swedish dub of Cyborg 009. Look at this group on Facebook to read some wonderful quotes from the dub. Since I am going to get the day off on friday, I will yet again miss the bandana-day. Here's to make up for it. I really want a red bandana to go with my Lucky Luke shirt! (Btw, huge ear is huge. I kind of liked it so I left it that way!)

I was at work for 13 hours yesterday. Fun productive times, but now I am really sleepy. Back to a somewhat normal pace again! Funny part was that most of my colleagues stayed after I left!

I have been really busy lately. Every weekend I go away somewhere, so it is kind of hectic. Gotta work overtime to catch up on the hours I took off to be able to go home to Ludvika last weekend (I visited family and attended to my friends’ very beautiful wedding!) And on Saturday I am going on a short trip to Gothenburg.

The recent evenings I have been trying to catch up on my own projects, actually. There is never time for that! I did my second attempt on putting a ComicPress layout together for Försupen. It looks alright now, but it still looks like something that everyone has on their comicpress layouts. xD (The only layout that works IMO) Is there anyone who likes to create custom themes for ComicPress to WordPress? Be my guest. plox! Oh, and I haven’t updated Försupen yet, I just linked it… but I will! SOOOON. I have been up late nights working on the new layout, structure and also trying to prepare working on the next chapters. Trying to plan it out more in detail so that I won’t stress next time there is time to work on a new chapter (in like… ages!).

Late nights = sleepy Karrey. So I am going to try really hard to go to bed early today! It just sucks to sleep when creativity flows.

Today’s highlight: randomly started to speak to a really nice woman while waiting for the train this morning. I love it when you can pick up a conversation with a stranger like that, like you knew her/him before.

You probably noticed that I try to post at regular basis again. It’s been… 3 years since?

I really need to draw more, so I try to doodle something every day. Either work on what I already need to finish or silly doodles if I don’t have the energy to do something serious.

Here’s Gregg and Elsa from Försupen on the theme “speechless”.

Elsa looks more shocked than speechless and Gregg looks… surprised? XD I tried at least!

Oh, and Försupen is not dead, in case any of you wondered. I have pages to post but I just haven’t gotten around to do it. The layout I have now is really a pain in the neck to update, so I am trying to set up a comicpress wordpress layout since a long time ago. I am kind of lost in the code. I probably need to start over.

My point is that as soon as I get the webpage going again, I plan to post the rest of the pages of chapter 2 – and after that really struggle to update at regular basis again. At least 4 pages a month.

At a complete different note, my stomach has been really weird today AND yesterday. Probably the outcome of eating fast food late on sunday.

(Argh! Says Karrey.)

Today’s highlight: Biking home went better today. But tomorrow I will probably not bike because I need to stay at work some extra hours. Also, my back hurts a lot. :S
